Canada : New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program

Through the Provincial Nominee Program, New Brunswick actively seeks qualified immigrants who will fill labour market shortages, or create employment and business opportunities here. Under the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) welcomes applicants in two categories: skilled worker applicants and business applicants.

Skilled workers

skilled workers are considered under two streams. As a skilled worker you must have either:

  • A guaranteed offer of permanent employment from a New Brunswick employer, or
  • A family supporter who is a citizen or permanent resident of New Brunswick, who has been living and working in the province for a minimum of one year, and who has made a commitment to assist your settlement in New Brunswick.

Business applicants

Successful business applicants must:

  • Meet eligibility criteria.
  • Complete an exploratory visit to New Brunswick.
  • Have an approved business plan or business proposal.
  • Obtain a minimum score of 50 points.
  • Make a CDN $75,000.00 conditionally refundable deposit. 

Another way to migrate to New Brunswick is through the New Brunswick Business PNP, which requires:

  • Management experience with a result oriented record as a senior executive operating the business.
  • There should be a match between business skills offered by an individual and the requirement of the province as a whole.
  • The applicant also needs to declare that he or she has sufficient funds to finance first few months of business operations.

The processing time for business application takes almost the same time as skilled worker program.
